Coding Lessons are moving to Hashnode
But don't worry, you don't have to do anything....
Hey! This is just a really short note to tell you that I'm moving the Coding Lessons series to a dedicated coding blog on Hashnode (https://apiad.hashnode.dev). (Only the coding lessons, all the rest stays here.)
Don't worry, you don't have to do anything at all.
Like all my other articles, you will receive the coding articles in your inbox. Of course, you can always choose to unsubscribe from that specific channel if you're not interested in the coding part of my blog.
But why?
Well, the reason is simple. Substack is great for general-purpose long-form writing, but it absolutely sucks for writing coding articles. It has zero support for showing code in a way that is easy to read and copy.
Also, I feel the coding tutorials are sufficiently different from the rest of my usual writing —general CS articles, essays, philosophical stuff— to deserve their own home. Hashnode is the best platform for that type of content.
One final word: all my coding articles will forever be free —just like they where here on Substack. In the next couple of hours, you'll receive the first such article in my new series on graph algorithms. I hope you enjoy it!
Love,
Alex
Ha! I saw the lesson from Hashnode first, and I was like, "wait, wut dis."
Substack. Hashnode. Beehiiv. How many more sites must I learn about? Oh, woe is me!
Jokes aside, I'm happy you found a new place for your code stuff. I know how frustrated you've been with the built-in "Code" block here on Substack.
Good luck with it!
But I look forward to seeing more of your stuff here.
