Detachment from criticism is a noble goal, although we do have to realize that it can be a double-edged sword if you never come up for air. Ideally, we ignore the "haters who are gonna hate" while listening to valued feedback from people whose views we respect, but only when we need the feedback.
The more I learn about Turing, ,the more unique he seems.
Yes, Andrew, you put your finger of the heart of this story. There are always risks when we completely turn our backs on the world. Hodges documents these complexities well. When you read the bio, you start to wish Turing just got out of his own way once in a while. The ACE project for instance. Personality clashes resulted in him being pushed out of that circle prematurely. Yes, he did drift into morphogenesis, but what if he had stay immersed in ACE long enough to materialize his concepts of machine learning? The world may never know... Can't recommend the book highly enough.

Yup, I somehow don't see Alan Turing penning an article called "This INCREDIBLE Banburismus Process Just KILLED The German "Enigma" Code. But 99% Of People Don't Know How To Use It! DON'T FALL BEHIND! Like And Subscribe!"
That "Halting Problem" video is perfect for a layman like me, so thanks for sharing it!

Thanks, Nick! I found a summary of sorts on Audible (free with my membership tier):
"Breaking the Code
Based on the book ALAN TURING: THE ENIGMA by Andrew Hodges" (that's the cumbersome full title)

Thanks Daniel!!! Doesn’t sound like Turing’s style! The Turing x1000 LinkedIn Post.
Great read and nice write up. Turing was a genius in his time. Laying out the ground work for how our computers operate.
Thanks. Means a lot coming from you!
👏💯👏
Obviously I am going to at least research Hodges' biography and possibly more.
