Some notes on Substack Notes
In case you still haven't heard, there's a new thingy in Substack you may want to try.
Hey folks. By now you’ve probably heard all about the new Twitter-like micro-blogging features on Substack Notes. If you haven’t, I definitely recommend you give it a shot. While Twitter feels like the marketplace where everyone is yelling and competing for attention, Notes feel like the calm park a couple of blocks away, where you can have a nice chat with a few people you might not know, away from the trolls and the noise.
I’m still deciding exactly how to distribute my time between posts, chats, and notes, and finding the right balance between being on your mind but not necessarily on your face all the time, only when I have something valuable to say.
Anyway, I think this might be a valuable place to share some ideas and have interesting conversations around the topics we already share. Give it shot, I think you’ll like it.
How to join (official instructions from Substack)
In case you haven’t received these instructions yet, here’s the TL;DR:
Head to substack.com/notes or find the “Notes” tab in the Substack app. As a subscriber to Mostly Harmless Ideas, you’ll automatically see my notes. Feel free to like, reply, or share them around. You can also share notes of your own, of course.
PS: They said that if you encounter any issues, you can always refer to the Notes FAQ for assistance. I’ve heard it wasn’t written entirely by ChatGPT, so it might be accurate.
I love the dad ChatGPT joke at the end.
