It's so important to cultivate at least a respect and apprecitiatio for, if not an education in philosophy, humanities, and the social sciences among computer science students - all of these disciplines come into play so frequently! But at least here in the UK "STEM" is encouraged to the neglect of all else, and I think it's part of what's led to the tech industry we have today.
It happens in STEM in every country as far as I can tell. Explains lots of the issues with automation biases and neglected societal consequences of technology.
